Maxwell Industries Presents
Honda’s return to the AFT SuperTwins — 27 years in the making
About the Program
Big Red SuperTwins is a groundbreaking collaboration between three of American motorsport’s most experienced leaders: Al Lamb of Al Lamb’s Dallas Honda, Steve Watt of Maxwell Industries, and Mike Turner of the American Honda AFT Singles Program. Together, they’ve brought Honda back to the highest level of flat track racing for the first time in over two decades.
With a combined 140 years of racing experience, this partnership represents the pinnacle of American flat track expertise — a team built on decades of wins, innovation, and an uncompromising commitment to Honda performance.

The Rider
A rising talent from Yuba City, California, Trent Lowe stepped into the AFT SuperTwins class as a rookie — taking on a never-before-raced platform with the composure and mechanical intelligence of a seasoned competitor.
Trent came up through the AFT Singles ranks, bringing race-sharpened instincts and a deep understanding of flat track fundamentals to the Big Red program. His first season in SuperTwins proved that raw talent, the right team, and a purpose-built Honda are a winning combination.
Historic Milestone
In just their first season racing a never-before-raced platform, with a rookie SuperTwins rider, Big Red SuperTwins secured Honda’s first SuperTwins win in 27 years at the Springfield Mile II — cementing the program’s place in flat track history.
The Machine
The Big Red SuperTwins machine is built around the Honda TranAlp 755cc parallel-twin — a platform that had never been raced before Big Red brought it to the AFT grid. Steve Watt’s fabrication expertise transformed a production powerplant into a purpose-built flat track weapon.
Engine preparation is handled by Mike Lozano of Lozano Brothers Porting, whose race-winning builds have claimed the 24 Hours of Daytona five times and placed on pole at the Indianapolis 500. The result is a motorcycle built to compete at the highest level from day one.

Team Owner & Sponsor
Al Lamb brings decades of motorsport passion and Honda heritage to the Big Red Super Twins program. As owner of Al Lamb Dallas Honda, he has been an instrumental force in building one of the most competitive twin-cylinder racing teams in the country.
Team Manager
Steve Watt oversees day-to-day team operations and race-day logistics for the Big Red Super Twins squad. His meticulous attention to detail and deep understanding of setup and preparation keeps the program running at the highest level of competition.
Team Principal
Mike Turner brings a wealth of experience to the Big Red Super Twins team as a principal and key decision-maker. His leadership and technical knowledge have been central to the team's success on track and its growth as a professional racing program.
